a. Prof. Omana Mathew Award for Best Thesis

• • Instituted by IAP Kollam Branch – Citation and cash prize of Rs 3000.
  • Category: Thesis submitted in MD examinations 2025.
  • Completed thesis to be uploaded in PDF format.

b. Vishnu Nambisan Memorial Award for Best Research Paper

• • Instituted by Prof. Ananda Kesavan TM – Memento and cash prize of Rs 3000.
  • Category: Oral Research Paper Presentation – Postgraduates.
  • Structured abstract of 300 words to be uploaded.

c. Rajaram Memorial Award for Best Research Paper in Social Pediatrics

• • Instituted by Prof. S Sushama Bai – Citation & cash prize of Rs 3000.
  • Category: Oral Research Paper Presentation – Postgraduates.
  • If no eligible papers from postgraduates, faculty & practicing pediatricians will be considered.
  • Structured abstract of 300 words to be uploaded.

d. Manampurath Oomen John Memorial Award for Best Research Publication

• • Instituted by Dr. Shaji Thomas John – Citation & cash prize of Rs 6000.
  • Category: Research publication – Member, IAP Kerala.
  • Publication in an indexed journal (01.08.24 – 31.07.25).
  • Applicant should be a Kerala resident for the last 3 years.
  • Journal article in PDF format to be uploaded.

4. Awards for Free Paper and e-Poster Categories:

• • Postgraduates (MD/DCH/DNB)
  • Faculty of Medical Colleges, Senior Residents, and DM trainees
  • Practicing Pediatricians

5. Structured Abstract Submission (Max 300 words):

• • Research Paper: Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusion.
  • Case Report: Background, Case Characteristics, Outcome, Single-sentence Message.

6. Presentation Selection:

Top 10 abstracts in each category will be invited for oral research paper presentation. Non-selected papers may be considered for e-poster.

7. Research Work Requirements:

• • Research must be original and not presented elsewhere.
  • Postgraduates/DM trainees must upload a certificate of ethics approval.
  • Other applicants must submit an undertaking stating originality.

8. Submission Guidelines:

• • Presenting author should be first author.
  • IAP Membership Number must be provided.
  • Maximum 4 authors per abstract.

9. Important Deadline:

Abstract/Thesis/Publication Submission Deadline: November 1, 2025, before 12:00 AM.

10. Submission Confirmation:

Confirmation of submission and judging panel decisions will be communicated via email.

11. Final Decision:

Judging panel decisions are final.

12. Publication of Selected Abstracts:

All selected abstracts will be published in the conference souvenir.
